In November 2007 a Pitch Strategy, entitled "The Future of Birmingham's Playing Pitches" was published by Knight, Kavanagh and Page for Birmingham City Council. In this it was reported that there was a shortage of football pitch provision in the Selly Oak District, and that there had been three pitches in Selly Oak Park which could be brought back into use.
